Casey Patterson didn’t just learn the homebuilding trade—he lived it. Back in 1998, while still in high school, he started working for his high school sweetheart’s dad (now his father-in-law), a local contractor. Casey would lay sod, clean up construction sites after school, on weekends—and sometimes even skip class to get the job done. From those early hands-on days, he worked his way up from the ground (and mud) level, swinging hammers, hauling materials, and framing homes one stud at a time.

He quickly moved from laborer to carpenter to leading framing and trim-out crews. That boots-on-the-ground experience shaped how Casey approaches construction to this day. While some in the industry learned building from textbooks, Casey learned it the old-school way—by doing. He’s got a sharp eye for quality and can spot when something’s off long before most others even notice.

In 2003, Casey and his wife Dianna founded Patterson Construction Group, driven by a shared vision: to build homes that are as rock-solid and lasting as they are warm and welcoming. For the first few years, Casey was still swinging the hammer himself—doing all the carpentry work by hand. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, he made the full leap into running projects as a general contractor, but his hands-on roots still guide everything he does.

Work with Casey, and you’ll feel the difference. He knows every corner of residential construction—inside and out. But more importantly, he listens. He takes the time to understand your needs, explain the process clearly, and make sure the finished home isn’t just what you imagined—it’s better.
